Infinity Penthouse, San Francisco, CA – The Infinity Tower penthouse residence in San Francisco is a project that evolved from our client’s scientific interests in the Hubble space images and Chaos theory (in particular some of the famous Julia set imagery).

Our sequence of exploration began through examining new techniques in creating thin shell concrete panels that combined ultra high-strength concrete, 3D software to create complex design patterns, CNC milling machines to carve intricate digital patterns into foam board formwork, that in turn, allows incredibly thin and ornate concrete panels to emerge that harken back to the work of Eduardo Torroja and Felix Candela.

Our client looked at the pattern potential and thought of fractal flame patterns and choas theory algorithms. Logue Studio Design looked at this as an opportunity to explore form, pattern and materiality within the living environment.
